Artwork Submission Guidelines

If you’ve got your own design, we’re more than happy to print it for you. This guide will help you design your leaflets, posters and whatever else you might need to a standard that’s print-ready. This means you won’t end up getting any extra charges for any tweaking we might have to do before pressing the print button.

Click on any of the links in the navigation menu on the left to find out more- I’d read them all just to make doubly sure. Or download a printer-friendly version here.

Formats

If you asked us to design something for you, most of it would probably be done using the latest version of CorelDraw. This is mainly because it’s brilliant. And we think it’s the best software to print from both for quality and accuracy. But, we realise that not everybody has access to the latest design software and we do accept a variety of other formats. Some are easier to print from than others. If you follow all the instructions in this guide, the following formats will help you avoid any extra design charges:

CorelDraw X4, Corel Photopaint X4, Corel Ventura 10, Portable Document Format (PDF), QuarkXpress 6, Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe Illustrator CS3, Adobe InDesign CS3, Adobe Fireworks CS3, Xara, Encapsulated Postscript (EPS), Postscript Files (PS), Fineprint, JPG, GIF, TIF, BMP

Unfortunately, some of the most widely used software is the most difficult to print from. Every individual document is different, but the following formats will probably need adjusting to make them print-ready, so we may have to apply a small charge:

Microsoft Word 07, Microsoft Publisher 07, Microsoft Powerpoint 07, Various Other Less Common Formats

Got the format sorted? Next step’s the picture resolution.
